CharisMac Discribe CD / DVD Mastering Utility Adds Support for 48x Burners

Auburn, CA – 6/12/02 CharisMac Engineering added support for 48x CD recorders in an update to their popular Discribe CD / DVD mastering program today. Discribe v5.0.18 adds support for the latest lightening fast 48x CD recorders as well as support for a variety of new DVD recorders. Discribe supports OS X as well as all flavors of OS 9.

Discribe, an industry proven, universal CD mastering utility for the Macintosh, boasts support for over 250 CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW mechanisms and supports the creation of CDs in most all popular formats including: CD Extra, Hybrid, ISO-9660 and both track-at-once and disc-at-once audio. Discribe supports ATAPI, SCSI, Firewire (1394) and USB recorders.

Discribe fully supports the mastering of MP3 files to CD and includes AudioScribe, a direct-to-disk recording utility that lets you record vinyl, voice or tape to hard disk in AIFF format. These files can then be mastered to CD using Discribe.

Discribe V5.0.18 is free to anyone who has previously purchased a copy of 5.0. Discribe carries a $69.95 SRP. Discribe V5.0.18 is available as an upgrade from pre-5.0 versions for $29.96.
